Co-organiser Jessie Barnes-Hill said although the weather threw a spanner in the works, it was a successful day out for Shepparton’s youth.
“Unfortunately, we had to go with our wet weather contingency, but it was still excellent vibes, playing giant games and much good stuff happening, which made it a fun day out,” Ms Barnes-Hill said.
She said it was an excellent opportunity for the youth of Shepparton to find the right services to help them develop contacts for their future careers.
“We determine success for the day that one young person is thinking about getting some contacts, and we had organisers from organisations to help them get contacts for their future careers," Ms Barnes-Hill said.
“From what I observe, it was a successful day, with much youth taking part in the event and hopefully it can be bigger and better for the future.”
Attendees were able to see what GOTAFE had to offer.
The event included three-on-three basketball, food stalls, music sessions and a free barbecue.
