Benalla Swimming Club, a growing and welcoming community, is here to offer just that.
Led by the experienced ‘Coach Liz’ Isaacson, the club boasts a wealth of expertise.
The American coach’s background in competitive swimming in the United States at both the high-school and college levels, coupled with her extensive experience as a swim teacher and her academic background in physiology and development, make her an ideal mentor.
Her proficiency as a secondary-school teacher allows her to design rigorous training programs and effectively manage young swimmers.
Liz’s excellent rapport with both swimmers and their families further enhances the club’s supportive environment.
Currently, Benalla Swimming Club has around 40 members but is eager to welcome more swimmers into its fold.
The club caters to a wide range of abilities and interests, from those who swim for fitness and fun to those competing at local, regional, state and national levels.
Training sessions are held at the YMCA, on Mair St. Juniors train on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 3.45pm to 4.30pm.
The senior group trains on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 4.30pm to 6pm, and on Wednesday and Friday mornings from 6.30am to 7.40am.
