Notre Dame College fights MND with successful event

Notre Dame College recently rallied against motor neurone disease during a BigFreezeMND event hosted by the college’s McGann House.

The event raised over $2800 for FightMND through the sale of official FightMND merchandise.

Despite the cold temperatures and rain, students and staff bravely assembled outside the Shepparton school’s stadium where McGann House captains Jas Best and Toby Williams, college principal John Cortese and several college staff had buckets of ice poured over them.

Adding to the event’s significance, Anthony Daniher, a former AFL player and brother of MND campaigner Neale Daniher, was there to speak to students.

Mr Daniher shared insights into his family’s personal experiences with the disease, shedding light on the harsh realities faced by MND patients; this was followed by him pouring an ice bucket over Mr Cortese.
