Drowsy Chaperone will hit the Shepparton stage this week and promises to wow anyone who enters the audience.
The show’s director, Shannon Orlandi said that rehearsals are going well thanks to the people involved.
“Rehearsals have been running incredibly smoothly thanks to a stellar cast which have wanted to do their best for the Goulburn Valley community to see,” Mr Orlandi said.
“Also, having a wealth of knowledge and skills behind me in the form of Neroli Cochrane as our musical director and vocal coach, Tayla Jenkins as our trainer stage manager, and Casey Fogarty as an all-round go-to person has definitely made the process easier.”
Mr Orlandi is proud of the cast and their abilities and said he’s excited to show off the talent on and off the stage.
“I’m excited for audiences to see the young talent we have in the Shepparton area,” he said.
“We have some great actors, dancers, and singers, and this is their chance to show off.”
The show will introduce the audience to the peculiar Man in Chair, a die-hard musical theatre fan, who welcomes them into his living room.

He drops the needle on his all-time favourite album, The Drowsy Chaperone, an outrageously funny musical set in the decadent world of the 1920s.
As the record spins, the show bursts into life complete with starlets, gangsters, and all manners of mayhem.
“People should come expecting a night of great humour among an array of larger-than-life caricatures,” Mr Orlandi said.
