Inspired by one of the world’s most popular and successful composers of the 20th century, George Gershwin, the Shepparton Theatre Arts Group is ready to take audiences through a journey of jazz, broadway and a touch of Hollywood in three shows.
The shows will take place at the Bakehouse Black Box Theatre, 17 Wheeler St, Shepparton, kicking off on Friday, June 24 at 7pm, with two more following on Saturday, June 25 at 6pm and Sunday, June 26 at 2pm. White Night
Shepparton is set to be illuminated in its first ever White Night event. Transforming the city through illuminations, projections, music and interactive works from talented local and international artists, complete with pop-up food trucks from businesses and more. The event is free, running on Saturday, June 25 from 6pm at Victoria Park Lake, Shepparton Art Museum, Welsford St and Sobraon St, and Monash Park.
Best of the Bee Gees
More than a concert, the Bee Gees tribute band is hitting Riverlinks Eastbank, Shepparton. Performing all the best hits with original band member Colin ‘Smiley’ Peterson, and recounting some of their best memories, the show will begin at 8pm. All Aboard — free skateboarding lessons
Skateboarders of all ages and abilities are welcome to attend free lessons in Greater Shepparton as part of the All Aboard program by the YMCA. The lessons will take place across the weekend with the Sunday sessions at Ferrari Park, McLennan St, Mooroopna, from 10am to 12pm, and at CWA Gardens in Dookie, from 2pm to 4pm. Mooroopna Country Music
Mooroopna Country Music is on Sunday, June 26 at the Sir Ian McLennan Centre, with guest artist Ray Macartney. Walk-up artists are also welcome. The event will start at noon and run until 5pm. Goulburn Valley Pipes and Drums members desperately need experienced pipers and drummers to join the band.
