They were both one-hit wonders. Or in the case of Jetta, a one-performance wonder when he starred for the Bulldogs in the Goulburn Valley League.
After 13 rounds of GVL action a number of talents have stepped on to the field for one-off games and with the power of GVL Data, the team at The News has decided to have a look at how some of them stack up.
Starting with Jetta, the former Melbourne talent, who pulled on a Tatura jumper against Echuca in round seven and did not disappoint.
Jetta had 31 disposals on the day, picked up 14 contested possessions and produced 10 rebound-50s in a match that set the precedent for special appearances this season.
Like the former Melbourne star, Northern Bullants talent Kuiy Jiath pulled on the Bulldogs shirt in round nine and impressed.
Jiath saw plenty of the ball in his one-off game, with 27 disposals, 12 marks and five ground ball gets headlining a good spell.
Another VFL player to strut their stuff in the GVL this season was Zavier Maher.
Maher laid nine tackles for Shepparton United against Mansfield in round 12, with seven clearances and 27 disposals the standout statistics in his performance.
Like the Carlton talent, former Fremantle star Michael Barlow pulled on the red-and-blue of United for a one-off game in round 11.
Currently a playing coach at VFL side Werribee, Barlow stood out in his appearance, with 28 disposals, four marks and 12 ground ball gets.
