Club member Sally Matheson said 18 local businesses took part.
“We were delighted at how well it went,” Ms Matheson said.
“The fact that so many businesses got on board, dressed up and got engaged on the day was really exciting.
“It is an initiative that is on our annual calendar and normally it is held on October 10.
“But we decided to hold it on the 9th, so local businesses could get involved.”
Ms Matheson said the day was usually a fundraiser, however, because of COVID-19 Rotary decided that this year it should be a way of showing support for mental health in the community.
“And we thought it would be good to use it as a way to show support to our local businesses who have been doing it tough during the pandemic.”
With the best hats in line for one of several prizes, the photos that were entered will go in front of Rotary Benalla's October 22 meeting.
“We have two vouchers from Rustic to give away, and Rotary will also be donating some Benalla business dollars, too,” Ms Matheson said
“Thank you to everyone who got involved.
“Several businesses told us a lot of people asked questions, so it engaged the community in a convo about mental health as well, which is exciting.”
