“About lunchtime, a week ago, I got a phone call to tell me my cousin had taken his own life,” Hayley said.
“He was only 36 and none of us knew he was depressed.”
“He was known as a person who was very giving and caring of others.
“But I think he may have neglected himself a bit.

“And it made me feel I should refocus on my health and start exercising.
“So I spoke to dad about what I could do and after a google search I came cross Movember.
“I always try and make the best of a bad situation, and trying to feel healthy makes me feel better about myself, too.”
So Hayley decided to take on the 60 km challenge, which will see her walk or run throughout the month until she hits that target.

The other target she is aiming to hit is her fundraising target of $500.
At the time of publishing she is currently on $190 raised and 26.16 km completed.
“I am getting to 60 km any way I can, if I am on the phone I am walking, I can't sit still,” she said.
“I have a Mospace link (which you can find at the bottom of this article) where people can donate.
“And I am going to be selling raffle tickets, too. I hope to surpass my $500 target.

“And I've approached some other businesses and will add more prizes soon,” Hayley said.
“I am thinking of having one winner who will win all the prizes.”
