“Stuart is in hospital in Melbourne with a spinal injury,” Ms Green said.
“He has been in surgery and has had treatment on five vertebrae.”
Ms Green said at this stage the full extent of his injuries, and how they would affect him, were unknown.
“We don't know how long he will be in there,” she said.
“He has been referred to a specialist hospital from the Royal Melbourne, where he will be receiving treatment and rehabilitation.
“I want to thank all the people who have been asking about him and offering their support.”
Mr Green's friends have set up a Go Fund Me page to raise funds to assist with his rehabilitation.
The fundraising target is $250,000 and it has raised $7370 so far.
