After more than 12 months of no activity, the choir is excited to announce its return to public performances, with two free concerts, the second to be held in Wangaratta on Sunday (May 23).
The It’s Good To Be Back! concerts take place at the Uniting Church, in each town, from 3 pm.
The choir’s publicity co-ordinator John Schilling said preparations were going well.

“Last year was a really tough time for some of our members who really missed their singing, and the friendship and social interaction that happens through it,” Mr Schilling said.
“But, thankfully, we’ve all come through COVID, and we’re ready to hit the performance stage again.
“Once we recommenced rehearsals, it was surprising to many of us just how much we had missed it.
“We had to hold rehearsals observing all the recommended COVID precautions, which included a much shorter rehearsal time.

“This has meant that, for this first series of post-COVID concerts, it will be a shorter programme – roughly one hour - but still a highly satisfying one, with quite a few well-known works, one that hints at the longer programmes to be performed later in 2021.
“We’re offering these as free concerts, partly due to the shortened programme length, and partly to celebrate the end - fingers crossed - of COVID restrictions.
“And we're also wanting to give back something to all those loyal supporters of the choir and its endeavours.
“It was the move back to ‘100 per cent capacity’ for theatres, concert venues and auditoriums a month ago that has made this a feasible exercise.
Benalla Rural City Council have little say over who occupies empty store
“Audience members will still need to register either by recording their name and contact number, or via a ‘QR code’ available on arrival.
“We’ll have helpers on-hand to assist.
“We’re expecting that, being a free concert on what we hope will be a beautiful autumn afternoon, it will be quite popular.
“So people are advised to arrive well ahead of the starting time, as seats will be limited, and audience processing may take slightly longer than normal.
“Unfortunately, seats cannot be reserved in advance.”
