Benalla Rural City Council seeks feedback on rating and revenue plan

Benalla Rural City Council has invited the community to have its say on the Rating and Revenue Plan 2021-2025.

The plan provides a medium-term strategy for how the council generates and calculates revenue and how it finances its programs, services and capital works over the next four years.

The Rating and Revenue Plan 2021-2025 sets out how funding for activities is apportioned between ratepayers and the other users of council services and facilities.

Mayor Danny Claridge said community feedback would play an important role in shaping this important part of the council’s integrated planning framework.

“We are focused on the long-term financial sustainability of Benalla Rural City Council," Cr Claridge said.

“Maintaining service delivery levels and investing in community assets remain key priorities for the council.

“Council provides critical services to the community and we want to hear what the community have to say about how we fund those services.”

The plan can be viewed at the council’s Customer Service Centre or at the Sir Edward ‘Weary’ Dunlop Learning Centre.
