A former Violet town community leader has been recognised in the annual Queen's Birthday Honours List.
Pamela Robinson is a former shire president and councillor of the now defunct Violet Town Shire.
Married to David Robinson and with a son, Daniel, she was a Warrenbayne farmer who took up a number of community service roles.
She has been appointed a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for service to conservation and the environment.
She had earlier been awarded a member of the Order of Australia (OAM).
Her community service included membership of the Boho Fire Brigade, active involvement in Landcare and recognition with life membership of the Benalla Regional Art Gallery, life membership of the Koorie Heritage Trust of Victoria and life membership of the Australian Local Government Women's Association.
