Senior men's assistant coach Wally Armstrong said Sunnie and Richard Bull were friends of the club, so when he found out Sunnie had been diagnosed with breast cancer he wanted to help in any way possible.
“They are a local family and I think its important that we do what we can for them and increase cancer awareness,” Wally said.
“As a sporting club the Northeast Bushrangers will be fundraising on Saturday night.

Wally said the club would be playing at the Basketball Stadium in Benalla on Saturday evening and he was encouraging the community to come along, support the team, and help raise funds for the Bull family.
“We'll have a door raffle,” he said.
“We have already had some people donate and if anyone wants to make a donation they can do that in person on Saturday.
“We'll have some silent auctions that people can bid on.

“We are going to invite a member of the crowd to try and take a half-court shot for a bit of fun.
“And every child who makes a gold coin donation will be given a bag of lollies to enjoy during the game.”
Wally said he was also looking for sponsors for the game.
“If anyone would like to sponsor the game, or the court announcements, for example they can call me,” he said.

“All the money we raise on the night will go directly to the family.”
