Olympic fun at the pharmacy

Staff at Jenny Milner-Marsha Watson pharmacy have been celebrating the Tokyo Olympics by holding their own.

And they have been encouraging customers to take part.

Retail manager Paula Hales said it all started as a bit of fun during lockdown.

“Some people were really nervous and some customers can be quite stressed out, so a few of us thought why not run our own Olympics,” Ms Hales said.

“It is a welcome distraction for everybody, and that is what you want.

“We have decorated the pharmacy and done (the events) during lunch breaks.

“We’ve had the biscuit challenge where you put it on your head and have to get it into your mouth with no hands.

“We had a planking challenge. Today we are not sure but we think it will involve hula-hoops.

“And we will be doing power walking next week - we just need to find the time to do it.”

The team at Jenny Milner-Marsha Watson will be holding events until the closing ceremony in Tokyo.
