The school is awaiting the arrival of three new classrooms which will be delivered on Thursday.
The new buildings will be used by primary students, allowing existing rooms at the campus to be used by senior students as it transitions into offering a secondary education.
Principal Terry Harding was on hand with a shovel as excited students watched on. He said the idea was for the new classrooms to be operational by the beginning of Term 4.

“This moment represents more than one year of planning,” Dr Harding said.
“The school is growing and we have a real need to have more classrooms and more staff.”
Dr Harding said the expansion was thanks to the hard work of the Victorian Independent Schools Block Grant Authority (VIS BGA), the Commonwealth Government, who helped fund the expansion, and the Operations Committee based in the school's head office.
“We have 10 schools in five states and our head office has a building department,” he said.

“They’ve helped to organise the architecture, the planning permits through council, and arrangements with the VIS BGA.”
After the sod turning, safety fences were installed and the foundations put in place.
Dr Harding said the buildings will be installed by local builder Clinton Jackel.
“Once they are in we will put up verandahs and disability access,” Dr Harding said.

“We will then install the important educational computer equipment, and every classroom will have Apple TV.”
Dr Harding said the school would continue to grow in the coming years.
“Ultimately we'll probably need to move to bigger premises,” he said.
“We feel we will outgrow this campus in the next few years, but at the moment we are very happy with what is going on, and we look forward to seeing students in the new classrooms.”

Dr Harding took the opportunity to say thank you to staff, students and parents.
“They have been patiently waiting for the school to grow,” he said.
“Thank you to the Commonwealth Government and the VIS BGA, and thank you to the board for its hard work and the funds it raised.”
