The Benalla product lined up across half back against West Coast, and according to Blues development coach Daniel O’Keefe, he was “exceptional” in the rain-affected match.
“(Marchbank) brought the team plenty of energy, he was exceptional today,” O’Keefe told carltonfc.com.au
Marchbank hasn’t played a senior match for the Blues since injuring his knee in the Marsh Community Series back in March.
He also missed the final seven rounds of 2019 due to a neck injury.

● Tom Rockliff helped Port Adelaide to its biggest scalp of the season on Saturday when the Power beat reigning premier Richmond by 21 points at Adelaide Oval.
Although Port trailled by a point at three-quarter time, the home side kicked three unanswered goals in the final 20 minutes to cement the four points.
Rockliff was named among the best for Port, picking up 20 disposals, six clearances and a goal in the outing.

● Harry Morrison couldn't help a dour Hawthorn outfit get over the line in its round 11 clash with Fremantle on Monday night.
The Dockers easily finished 16-point winners at Optus Stadium, as the Hawks dropped their sixth game of the year.
Morrison was one of Hawthorn's better performers, finishing the match with 16 disposals, seven marks and five intercepts.
