She received the honour for her service to the community and her unswerving commitment to the ideals of the Rotary organisation.
For the past three years Amanda has been the major organiser of the “Day in the GardensMarket”, which is part of Benalla's annual festival each November.
While this activity raises many thousands of dollars for the Rotary Club it also involves a huge amount of organisational effort to ensure that it runs smoothly.

A Rotary Cub of Benalla spokesperson said Amanda was also heavily involved in the organisation of the Benalla's monthly Lakeside Market.
“She has been an integral part of the market committee since Lions and Rotary took over from the previous management committee,” the spokesperson said.
“Whilst running the Benalla West Post Office Amanda raised funds for Rotary’s ‘Lift the Lid On Mental Health' initiative by running a second-hand book stand where customers could buy a book for $1.
“During 2019 that venture raised more than $500, however, Amanda was also proud that it was providing a service to people who may otherwise not have been able to access books.”
Amanda is the chairperson of the Benalla Australia Day Committee.
She also chairs the formal part of the celebrations.

During 2019 Amanda took on the task of organising a monthly barbecue for the staff at LS Precast.
“This was at the request of the factory management who were looking for a way to get their staff to mix socialise with fellow employees,” the Rotary spokesperson said.
“Amanda has been on the Rotary Club board of management for the past 10 years andhas held many portfolios including president.
“She also hosted an international exchange student from Denmark in 2018.
“It would be fair to categorise Amanda by the old adage, ‘if you want something done, ask a busy person'.”
