She will cease duty at Woolworths this Friday, September 22.
“I’ve loved working here but feel it’s time to challenge myself,” Lisa told the Yarrawonga Chronicle.
“I’ve made lots of friendships with customers and work colleagues, and seen a lot of people come and go.”
The popular 45-year-old commenced work at Woolworths on May 5, 1998 and has witnessed many changes over the quarter of century.
The biggest changes have been a different store (re-located from where K Hub is now located) and subsequent new refurbishment.
Lisa has worked in all areas of the big supermarket – deli, grocery, O H & S, as food safety officer, cashier and finishing as a very knowledgeable cashier supervisor always willing to help customers with that gorgeous smile.
“I actually met by husband in a supermarket (1996),” she explained. Lisa and husband Clint have three children.
“I love serving the community – it will just be from a different organisation, the credit union,” she said.
“Twenty-five years is an amazing achievement with any business anytime. Lisa’s been an amazing worker and will be sorely missed,” store manager Paul Rawkins said.
