FCJ College Year 10 student Molly Close was awarded an Australian Business and Community Network Accelerate Scholarship as part of her future schooling.

She is one of 45 students around Australia to be awarded this scholarship.

Molly applied for the scholarship back in August this year and her school couldn't be prouder.

“We couldn’t be more proud of this significant achievement to occur at the school,” the school spokesperson said.

The scholarship provides students $7000 for educational expenses over years 11, 12 and the first year of further education or training.

The program compromises a business mentor selected by ABCN and three-year leadership program comprising regular facilitated sessions, one-on-one meetings and a two-day leadership summit held in Sydney.

The scholarship will also see Molly be able to network with role models and like-minded students outside the scholar's existing community and access workplace and tertiary education access opportunities.
