The youngsters came up with the idea after talking to their mum Terése about how they could help other kids who were less fortunate than them.
“We were having a chat about kids living with different illnesses,” Terése said.
“I told them that some really nice and generous people donate their hair to charity and they thought it was a great idea.”

When Terése and the girls sat down and Googled different hair-based charities they were drawn to Hair with Heart.
Funds raised through Hair with Heart, and the proceeds from the hair donated, support children's charity Variety with grants and programs for kids who are sick, disadvantaged or who have special needs.
“When we looked into it we found that wigs for kids need to at least 35.5 cm of hair to be donate,” Terése said.
“Their hair was a little short, so we decided to wait until it was long enough.”

“We have been telling people about it and they have been asking how short it will be,” Amelia said.
“Mine will be about shoulder length.”
“Mine will be about the same,” Elina said.
