The forum will be facilitated by veteran journalist Libby Price and confirmed candidates include Nadia David, Elizabeth Fisher, Benjamin Gilbert, Helen Haines, Ross Lyman, and Stephen Williams.
Further candidates will be invited as they are announced.
One of the organisers, Alice Meravi, said candidates would be invited to introduce themselves before answering pre-submitted questions from the local community.
“We expect topics to range from federal matters to issues that uniquely affect the residents of Indi,” Ms Meravi said.
“Questions will need to be pre-submitted either via email or in person before the start of the event.
“This allows candidates to address a broad range of questions.
“It is a COVID-safe event, but to ensure it is inclusive for the whole community it will be streamed live on the Benalla Ensign Facebook page.”
Questions can be submitted to benallacandidatesforum@gmail.com
The forum is being organised by a group of Benalla residents with an interest in supporting the political engagement of the people of Indi and encouraging respectful political debate.
All residents of Indi are invited to attend and ask their questions to the assembled politicians.
Entry is free, with a gold coin donation appreciated.
Further information is available via Eventbrite, and pre-registration is invited, however, not required for attendance.
