This year Parkinson's Victoria has launched 27 for Parkinson's, which encourages people to exercise once a day from October 1 to 27.
The idea behind the initiative is to highlight the plight of the more than 27,000 Victorians living with Parkinson's disease - and to raise funds to find a cure.
“My dearest girlfriend, that I have had since 1972, her husband has Parkinson's disease,” Christine said.

“And I know of a few people in Benalla who have had Parkinson's and I wanted to show my support for them and anyone who is living with it.”
It is estimated that 18 per cent of Victorians living with Parkinson’s are still of working age - highlighting that it is a disease that can effect anyone.
It is the second most common neurological condition in Australia and there is no known cause or cure.
Medication and therapies are used to help manage symptoms, the most common of which are stiffened muscles, slowing movement and changing posture.

Many people also experience resting tremor.
Other symptoms can include pain, depression, anxiety, speech changes and loss of facial expression.
The 27 for Parkinson's initiative is designed to be something that people living with the disease can take part in.
Participants simply need to do something each day for the 27 days.

That can be a 10 km walk or just a few footsteps, depending on what they are capable of.
Christine is using the initiative to not only raise funds for, and awareness of, Parkinson's - but to also promote some of the regions street and silo art.
“Each day so far I have picked a different location around Benalla with some street-art in the background,” she said.
“So as well as doing my exercise I have been uploading photos to the 27 for Parkinson's Facebook page showing the art in the background.
“On the weekend, for example, we went out to Goorambat and took a photo in front of the horses (on the silo).”
