Greater Shepparton City Council has announced that the outdoor cinema will return to Victoria Park Lake for three consecutive nights, from Thursday, January 18, until Saturday, January 20.
The movies to be featured include Detective Pikachu, Barbie and The Super Mario Bros Movie.
The pop-up will also include drinks, lots of popcorn and a bar, and families are encouraged to arrive early, grab a spot and set up with blankets and cushions for a picnic before the movie kicks off.
Families are also reminded to bring insect repellent and to consider wearing appropriate clothing to avoid mosquito bites.
“Cinema Pop Up is the perfect event for families and friends to come together within their local communities,” Cinema Pop Up director Kate Hardwick said.
“With the support of our partners, we’re proud to be able to deliver an event of this calibre to anyone and everyone in Shepparton and Goulburn Valley, and the surrounding areas.”
City of Greater Shepparton Mayor Shane Sali invited residents to get outside and participate in this unique movie experience.
“This event is a great opportunity to enjoy the outdoors while spending time with friends and family,” he said.
“I encourage everyone to come along for a different movie experience each night, enjoy a picnic and take some time to relax outdoors.”
Tickets are limited and available for booking online, with kids’ tickets free and adult tickets only $8.
Gates open at 7.30pm, with the movie starting each evening at nightfall.
Community members are encouraged to book their spot in advance and secure their tickets via the website cinemapopup.com.au/Shepparton
