The Benalla sffice of state Member for Euroa Annabelle Cleeland is accepting donations to The Nappy Collective in order to reduce ‘nappy stress’ within the region.
One in 10 families, a figure relating to 280,000 children, don’t have enough nappies, a taxing situation that can impact families already going through hardship.
Ms Cleeland’s office has already received several donations since registering her Benalla office as a collection point in 2024.
The Nappy Collective is a community-based not-for-profit organisation that aims to ensure all Australian children have access to nappies, allowing them to remain clean, healthy and happy.
“It has been so incredible to see so many people within our community donate nappies for children in need,” Ms Cleeland said.
“Being able to provide nappies to those in need may be overlooked as a crucial service, but it is so important.”
Since 2013, The Nappy Collective has distributed eight million nappies to families in need, including over one million last year.
Ms Cleeland’s Benalla office is one of 653 collection points across Australia.
