The forum is being organised by volunteers from the Euroa-Benalla ALP branch.
A spokesperson for the group said the forum will be neutral with the branch not endorsing any candidate.
“This forum is a community-focused initiative addressing local concerns,” the spokesperson said.
“This is not designed to be a party political event.”
The forum will feature candidates for the Benalla Rural City Council election, with most candidates confirming their attendance.
“Anticipating this may be the only community-led forum during the election, we welcome diverse participation,” the spokesperson said.
“This free event provides an opportunity for community-wide engagement with council election candidates.”
The forum will be held on Tuesday, October 8, from 6.30pm at the Benalla All Blacks Football Netball Club, 9 Ackerly Ave, Benalla.
Organisers invite questions with notice from attendees at the time of booking.
Questions can be taken until 5pm Sunday, October 6. However, there will be an opportunity on the night to ask questions from the floor.
