The Halloween event is a means of providing mental health information and resources, as well as providing a fun-for-all family event to celebrate Halloween.
The event is completely free and will be held on October 31, from 3pm to 5.30pm in the Deniliquin Waring Gardens.
A sausage sizzle will be provided for those in attendance.
A trick or treat route has been set up by organisers and businesses around town, ensuring a fun and safe route for all involved.
As well as the sausage sizzle and trick or treating, there will be a number of prizes to be won by those in attendance.
Across the course of the event, there will be opportunities to be able to access resources made readily available by local community organisations.
Deni MHAG member Lourene Liebenberg said the idea of the annual party is to break down stigma around mental health, and provide tips for wellbeing.
“Our event is called ‘Mental Health, it’s not as scary as you think’, and we want people to know it’s okay to ask for help.
“The 5 Ways to Wellbeing - to connect, be active, keep learning, be aware and help others - is all captured by this event, and it is a wonderful event to connect with family, friends and community.
“We are pleased with the support we have received from the community with sponsorships and donations from 15212QN (Ace Radio), SPOT, PMC Conveyancing, Deni Golf Resort, Rotary, Wired Entertainment, AKW Fleming partners, Deni Auto Electrical, Soul Pattison Pharmacy and Coles.
“Anyone else still wanting to support the event with donations or gift cards can contact us”.
