In order to adhere to social-distancing guidelines, Benalla's Coles and Woolworths supermarkets have adopted this model.
Seventy-eight-year-old Benalla resident Pat Richards told the Ensign he had found an issue at both of these stores.
“I have parked in the disabled spaces in Coles and Woolworths recently,” Mr Richards said.

“This morning, at Coles, my car was within three meters of the door I came in but I had to exit on the opposite side of the building.
“It is making it harder for people like myself who are less mobile.”
Fortunately, there is a solution.
A Woolworths spokesperson said anyone who used a disabled parking space could make any team-member in store aware of their situation and they would find a solution.

"We have implemented a number of social distancing measures to uphold public safety in recent weeks, including the rollout of plexiglass screens at manned checkouts and in-store distancing guides," the spokesperson said.
"At our Benalla store we have also temporarily closed off a narrow entry and exit point to help customers uphold social distancing.
"We appreciate this may be an inconvenience to customers parking in disabled car park spots near this entry and exit.
"Our store team will be happy to assist those customers through this exit upon request."
A Coles Spokesperson said that given the current restrictions it can be challenging for some customers to visit stores and they don’t want anyone to feel any added stress when they shop at Coles Benalla.
"The current social distancing procedures in place are to improve the safety of all team members and customers," the spokesperson said.
"However, if customers parking in the disabled car spots at the entrance of the store need to exit the same way they came in, we ask that they speak to one of our team members who can assist them.”
