Volunteer bitten by roaming dog

Three dogs were roaming the street and unfortunately one attacked this volunteer and bit her on the lower part of her leg.

She was just going about her job in providing a service at the second-hand shop for the town.

The lady, in turn, had to go to the hospital to get the wound cleaned and a tetanus needle, not to mention the pain that she went through.

The police were approached about the matter and they said they would look into it.

The Shire was also approached through the BSC ranger but it appears to me nothing was done.

What would have happened if a small child was bitten, would the outcome be any different?

No one needs to be subjected to this sort of danger. Dogs should not be allowed to roam the streets without a leash.

I hope that the above incident does not happen again as it may end up with a serious injury to someone just going about their normal routine.
