The appointments of Shane Sali, Jesse Mitchell, Eugenie Stragalinos and Naomi Jacobson mark a new chapter for the organisation, with executive officer Amy Robinson expressing confidence that their contributions will greatly enhance its efforts.
“Lighthouse’s executive leadership is excited to welcome top-tier, strategic thinkers to our powerhouse board, ensuring the next decade builds on the impact of the last,” she said.
Since 2014, Lighthouse Shepparton has removed barriers for local youth, providing essential resources such as school uniforms, medical travel expenses and refurbished laptops.
Now, each new member will have the opportunity to bring their wealth of prowess and proficiency to the cause.
Ms Stragalinos has over 30 years of experience in leadership, governance and organisational transformation.
Her commitment to community-focused outcomes is evident in her various board roles, including chair of Goulburn Murray Credit Union and Destination Goulburn Valley.
However, many community members will know her as the founder of EMS Consulting.
Another familiar face on the board is City of Greater Shepparton Mayor Shane Sali.
As a lifelong resident with extensive leadership experience, Lighthouse Shepparton believes Mr Sali’s passion for the Goulburn Valley will be a strong asset to the team.
Representations of local governance continue with Campaspe Shire Deputy Mayor Jesse Mitchell.
Ms Mitchell is dedicated to empowering youth and fostering community growth, which aligns perfectly with the values of Lighthouse Shepparton.
Naomi Jacobson adds further depth as a senior associate at Dawes and Vary Riordan Lawyers, where she specialises in litigation and employment law.
Her expertise in corporate governance and workplace obligations will be invaluable to the organisation.
Reflecting on these inclusions, board chair Adam Furphy noted the significance of the new members’ diverse backgrounds and expertise.
“The addition of Shane, Jesse, Eugenie and Naomi strengthens Lighthouse’s governance capabilities, ensuring its continued resilience and ability to deliver meaningful change,” he said.
“Their collective vision and leadership will enable Lighthouse to effectively address the region’s key priorities and empower young people and families to thrive.”
