Miss Birdie at Club Corowa is set to host this fantastic evening on Saturday, August 10.
This gala not only promises an evening of glamour and entertainment but also aims to support the Corowa Wahgunyah Good Friday Appeal, following their remarkable achievement of raising $156,000 in 2024, ranking fourth overall on the regional tally board.
With a theme of “Black and White”, attendees are invited to gather their friends and dress to impress for a night of mid-winter fun.
The event kicks off at 6.45pm with a welcome drink upon arrival, followed by delectable canapés, lucky door prizes and live music by Phill Lewis & Co, who is a master at getting the crowd on the dance floor.
Adding to the allure of the evening, special guests Rebecca Cowan, Anna Wilson and Simone Dalla Riva from the Good Friday Appeal will be in attendance and will be keen to acknowledge and celebrate the efforts and generosity of the Corowa Wahgunyah district for the appeal.
Local area manager for the Good Friday Appeal, Karie Playford, said they were excited to bring the community together for this special occasion.
“Throughout the year we are joined by our amazing volunteers, sponsors and supporters in so many different environments. From shearing sheds and sheep yards to footy clubs, the golf course and on fire and rescue vehicles around the towns during the annual doorknock on Good Friday itself,” Karie said.
“The gala night gives the opportunity for us to come together and celebrate Corowa Wahgunyah’s fundraising achievements with our entire community.
“Everyone is welcome, and all proceeds raised from the night will kick off our 2025 Appeal efforts.”
Funds raised through the Good Friday Appeal allow the Royal Children's Hospital to provide world-class healthcare to sick children across Australia, making a lasting and positive impact on the lives of countless children and their families, including many from our local area.
Tickets to the gala cost $60 per head and are available at www.trybooking.com/CTFIX. Ticket sales close Wednesday, July 31.
