Holy Trinity Anglican Church on Arundel St will be holding a Blessing of Animals service on Sunday, October 6, at 9:30am.
This coincides with the feast day of St Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals and the environment.
The service celebrates the bond between humans and animals, recognising their importance in our lives, the joy they bring and God’s creation.
The parish has been celebrating a Season of Creation during the past month and this is the culmination of the season, making it very special indeed.
All in the community are welcome to bring along their pets, or photos of their pets if they prefer, to be blessed by Bishop Dino Gabriel. This service continues to inspire compassion and stewardship, reminding us of the profound ways animals enrich our lives.
Bishop Dino finishes his three years in the Parish of Benalla this month.
His final service in the parish will be Sunday, October 20 at 9:30am at Holy Trinity on Arundel St.
All are welcome to attend and say goodbye to Bishop Dino before he returns home to South Africa.
