Kyabram Gifts and Accessories store damaged after ceiling fan fire

Employees of the store were present at the time and notified authorities.

Leading Senior Constable Ross Adams said an electric fault in the ceiling fan caused a fire which then spread into the ceiling, causing damage to the store’s roof.

There are no suspicious circumstances, and no one was harmed, he said.

The store, along with the adjoining barbershop, remained closed as of Monday.

Allan St was blocked for approximately three hours while fire crews brought the fire under control.
