The survey will inform the development of the 2024-29 Campaspe Library Strategy.
The survey, which is accessible online and in person at all Campaspe libraries, aims to gather valuable insights and feedback from residents about their library usage, preferences, and aspirations.
Campaspe Shire Mayor Rob Amos expressed enthusiasm for the initiative.
“Our libraries play a crucial role in fostering lifelong learning, promoting literacy, and building strong, connected communities,” he said.
“Through this engagement process, the council aims to better understand the diverse needs and interests of our community members, ensuring that future library initiatives reflect their priorities.”
In addition to the survey, the library will host a series of ‘Listen at the Library’ sessions, where residents can drop in to share their thoughts, ideas, and concerns directly with renowned library consultants Ian and Jacqui Phillips and library staff.
The ‘Listen at the Library’ sessions will be held on June 4 in Rochester from 9am to noon and Lockington from 12.30pm to 1pm.
Two session will be held in Echuca on June 3 at 10am to 1pm and June 4 from 1.30pm to 4.30pm.
The survey can be completed online by visiting the library website www.campaspe.vic.gov.au/library or paper copies are available from library service or by calling 5481 2400.
