Primary and secondary students from Moama Anglican Grammar School showcased their athletics talents in Sydney in September, returning home with multiple medals.

On September 6, 18 primary students competed at Sydney Olympic Park for the Combined Independent Schools state championships.
Highlights included Year 5 student Isabelle Barnett making the podium, bagging two bronze medals in the Girls 11-13 shot put and discus events.
The Girls 8-10 4 x 100m relay team, featuring Savannah Dicker, Mea Whitelegg, Tahlie Clydesdale and Evie Pell won their heat, showcasing their team spirit despite the hot conditions.
Fifteen secondary students then made their way to Sydney for NSW CIS on September 24, achieving impressive results.
Year 8 student Phoenix Wise won a gold medal in the Boys 13 high jump with a height of 1.70m, as well as a silver medal in the Boys 13 long jump.
Year 12 student Georgia Barnett took home a silver in the Girls 18-19 discus event, while Year 9 student Tahlia Blight also snagged second place in the Girls 14 400m, running the lap in just under a minute.
The school said weekly coaching sessions for students that focused on strength, speed and technique had shown improved results following a previous competition in Albury, and extended its congratulations to all participants.
