Shepparton Crime Investigation Unit Detective Senior Constable Jessica Williams said police detected a white Volkswagen Touareg allegedly travelling above the speed limit on the Murray Valley Hwy at Wyuna, about 14km north of Kyabram, about 9.30am.
When police pulled over the SUV, they discovered it had been reported as stolen during an alleged aggravated burglary at Benalla between Thursday, March 28 and Friday, March 29, Det Sen Constable Williams said.
A 35-year-old man from the Melbourne suburb of Altona Meadows is facing nine charges, including theft of a vehicle, aggravated burglary, handling stolen goods, possessing the proceeds of crime, unlicensed driving and other traffic-related charges.
