At the service, which was attended by members of the Anglican, Uniting and Catholic parishes, there was a blessing of the recently installed Baptismal font, from the now-closed St James’ Church, Moama.
The font was dedicated to the memory of Sydney Linton DD, the first Bishop of Riverina, and then two baptisms were performed by Bishop Kirk.
Baby David and his elder brother Tate Mount will be able to tell their grandchildren that they were the first to be baptised in the font by a Bishop after its installation and blessing.
After the service, those gathered shared lunch and stories in the parish hall.
