A small grass fire on the southern side of Berrigan was attended by Berrigan Rural Fire Service on Saturday, August 31.
The fire was on the corner of Cobram Rd and was reported shortly before midnight.
Berrigan Rural Fire Service attended with one truck and crew, and had the blaze all but under control within 20 minutes.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
Thankfully, the weather conditions at the time of the fire were conducive to putting the blaze out.
But Federation Zone Group Captain Greyd’n Davis said with weather conditions starting to change, people should be on high alert.
