Season 2025 is still some way off, but Mathoura Football Netball Club has already appointed its new senior coach for both the 2025 and 2026 seasons.
He is Adam Bourke who will bring a wealth of experience and passion to the club’s program.
He started in the Calder Cannons system and was a two times interlegue rep with RDFL, playing for Riddles Creek, and the KDL while playing for Nagambie.
He also spent a couple of seasons at VFL level playing with the Frankston Dolphins.
His coaching career includes leading Longwood in their first season in the KDFL, serving as a ruck coach at the Bendigo Pioneers.
Most recently he was the senior assistant mids coach for the development side at North Heidelberg, where they made a significant impact in developing a competitive midfield group.
Adam has spent a bit of time recently working in Papua New Guinea and cannot wait to get into pre-season training as a non-playing coach.
His focus will be on creating a structured senior side with a team-first mentality that filters down to our junior level.
With a career spanning all levels of the game – as a player, coach and mentor - Adam brings incredible knowledge, leadership, and a deep commitment to nurturing talent.
The club invites supporters and friends to join in welcoming Adam to the Timbercutters.

Locals will be saddened to learn of the passing of former local and well known person in the local timber industry, Ray Hill.
Ray, and his twin brother Cliff, worked together in the forests for many years and were popular members of our community before Cliff passed away some years ago.
Sympathy is extended to Ray’s family and friends.
