Stop opportunistic thieves

Be safe on the road this winter
With frosty mornings in winter, it is important for all road users to take extra care on our roads.
Low visibility and black ice are just some of the environmental issues for all road users.
As a motorbike rider, there are ways you can help make yourself safer when you ride.

Don’t leave your car running while unattended
As we are in the depths of winter and the mornings are colder, police are warning residents to be wary of leaving vehicles parked outside or in an unlocked garage to warm up while they are not there.
The practice of leaving vehicles unattended with the keys in the ignition has led to an increase in vehicles being stolen.
If your vehicle needs to warm up, allow for that extra time in the mornings and do it while you are in the vehicle.
If you need to run your trolley back after unloading your shopping, take your keys with you.
