Car set alight

Offenders have set fire to a parked car in Beveridge.

Just after midnight on May 27, the offenders drove along Mandalay Circuit in a black ute with an open tray and pulled up alongside a car parked on the street. They opened a toolbox on the driver’s side of the vehicle but did not steal any items. They then smashed a window and placed an accelerant in the vehicle, which caught fire.

Copper wiring stolen

A significant length of copper signal wiring has been stolen in Kilmore.

The offenders cut and took 200 metres of copper signal wiring from along the train line on O’Gradys Rd about 2am on May 26 before being disturbed by a worker.

They were seen driving an older model white Holden Commodore.
