The highly anticipated Shepparton Festival is returning for its 28th year from April 5 to 21, with a two-week program of art, performance, music and workshops.
Before then, organisers are celebrating with a day of festivities to officially launch the 2024 program.
On Friday, February 23, at Shepparton’s Summer City Market, a stall will be set up where the team will hand out this year’s printed guide and discuss the Shepparton Festival amidst the community’s shopping experience.
Festival director Kristen Retallick said it’s a great opportunity to discover the newly formatted program.
“We’re thrilled for the chance to connect with the community one-on-one ... it’s at the heart of what the festival aims to do,” she said.
“Plus, we have a few surprises planned throughout the day that are sure to bring a smile to people’s faces.”
From 5pm to 6pm, festivities will move upstairs to The Deck in Shepparton for the official launch event.
This event is open to the community and will feature nibbles and refreshments.
“The team and I are beyond excited to tell you more about the incredible program on the night,” Ms Retallick said.
Attendees will be able to explore the new format guide, ask questions, and book tickets for the upcoming festival events in person.
The Shepparton Festival 2024 Program launch is on Friday, February 23 from 10am to 5pm, at the Summer City Markets, Maude St and surrounds, Shepparton.
From 5pm, formalities begin at The Deck, 198A Maude St, Shepparton.
Entry to the official launch at The Deck is free. Attendees are asked to register their attendance via https://events.humanitix.com/shepparton-festival-guide-launch
