Strathbogie Shire Council funded to deliver world-class tourism experiences

Funded: Violet Town is just one location within Strathbogie Shire that will benefit from a $50,000 grant to encourage tourism experiences.

Strathbogie Shire Council has received a grant of $50,000 to develop innovative ways to encourage people to stay longer and experience the best of the region.

State Member for Northern Victoria Jaclyn Symes announced the grant under the Visitor Servicing Fund.

“Congratulations to Strathbogie Shire Council for securing this grant that will help visitors experience all that the Goulburn Valley region has to offer,” Ms Symes said.

Projects funded under the program include:

  • Improving ways to make bookings and reservations
  • Building online itineraries, and
  • Creating digital visitor kiosks and enhancing wayfinding and storytelling at key visitation sites.
