And many will have stopped for a chat and to buy a raffle ticket outside Woolworths Benalla last month.
Tyler has recently drawn this year’s raffle and is pleased to announce that his efforts have raised more than $2500 this year — beating last year’s record.
With the fundraiser now having run for seven years Tyler has raised more than $6000 overall for men’s mental health awareness and suicide prevention.
And he has no plans to slow down.
“Next thing you know it will be 10 years and I’ll keep going and going, sitting in front of woollies selling tickets, raising money,” Tyler said.
“I’ll be in my 70s and 80s and you will still find me selling my raffle tickets.”
Tyler said, much to the delight of his girlfriend, the mo had already gone.
“I did the draw at InterSports in Shepparton and Gary Harvey, who owns it, he shaved it off for me.”
Tyler said the annual raffle would not be possible without the help of local businesses and the generosity of the Benalla community.
“Thank you to the business that have donated to the fundraiser,” he said.
“That includes Rose City Mowers, InterSports Shepparton, Euro garages Shepparton East, Nutrician 3630, and Sports Power Benalla and Shepparton.
“And also thank you to everyone in Benalla and surrounding communities who have supported me over the last six years.
“It’s always awesome to come back home to see everyone’s smiling faces and have them support me.
“To the whole Benalla community thank you so much I really appreciate it and I can’t wait to be doing it all again next year.”
