Lee Ann Garrett went into the draw for the last prize of the campaign when she shopped at IGA Echuca.
“I always go to IGA, because they’re a small business, so I like to support them,” she said.
Ms Garrett has lived in Echuca for her entire life, and the $1000 Shop Local prize is the first competition she has won.
“It’s probably the first thing I’ve won in all my life,” she said.
“I always shop local, I very rarely go elsewhere to shop.”
Ms Garrett was surprised when she received the phone call from the Riverine Herald office.
“I wasn’t really going to answer it, because I don’t answer a lot of calls I don’t know,” she said.
“I almost didn’t answer the call, but I’m glad I did.”
Thank you to all of those who shopped local during this campaign for supporting all of the businesses that participated.
The Riverine Herald will be returning in 2023 with our Easter campaign.
