Two separate motor accidents, within 20 minutes of each other, had Yarrawonga’s emergency services kept busy last night.
Rescue teams attended a two-car car collision on the intersection of Channel Rd and Benalla Rd, south of Yarrawonga just after 5pm.
Senior Constable Dave Griffith of Yarrawonga Police confirmed the female driver failed to give way crashing into another car with five occupants.

A passenger in the car she was driving was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police, ambulance the fire brigade were then called to the scene of a second crash on the corner of Coghill and Orr streets in Yarrawonga.
An elderly woman was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Snr Const Griffith said it was a true wake up call for the community.
“Vigilance is fundamental on our roads, we need to be mindful of all the signage on our roads so these accidents don’t happen,” he said.
