Its new site, on the corner of Church and Carrier Sts is owned by Chris Lewis-Williams and Russell Pilven, who are excited to bring the brand to the Rose City.
Russ grew up in Benalla and moved to Melbourne to expand his business interests, which included almost 20 years in the bicycle industry before his 18 years in Tyrepower began.
He opened Essendon Tyrepower before opening Seymour Tyrepower.
“I am proud to be able to bring Tyrepower to my home town,” Mr Pilven said.
“I have spent almost 20 years with Tyrepower and this is my third store and I have another on the way in Wallan.
“We bring a huge range of products, choice, and (great) customer service.
“That is what makes Tyrepower ‘Australia’s biggest independent’.”
After six years at the Benalla Auto Club, Mr Lewis-Williams needed to find a new opportunity.
“Through my motorsport contacts I was introduced to Russell and the Tyrepower Benalla opportunity took shape quite quickly,” Mr Lewis-Williams said.
“Our first week has been really positive with inquiries and sales above expectations.”
“We already have hundreds of tyres in stock and many more arriving every day.”
With support from Tyrepower and a range of tyre manufacturers the Tyrepower Benalla Grand Opening Sale is getting bigger every day and will run from Thursday, March 10, to Saturday, March 12, with special deals on a wide range of tyres to suit any driving needs.
There will also be giveaways and a FREE sausage sizzle on Saturday.
