A man has been charged with home invasion and firearms offences after he was arrested in Mooroopna on Monday, October 28.
Police responded to an alleged hit-and-run collision in Mooroopna where an allegedly stolen Jeep collided with another car on Knight St about 11.30am.
The Jeep drove off and was located dumped in bushland off McFarlane Rd a short time later.
Police said officers cordoned off the area and a 24-year-old Echuca man and a 25-year-old Mooroopna woman were arrested after a short search.
They were interviewed by police and the man has been charged with aggravated home invasion, theft, assault, firearms, drugs and traffic offences.
He was remanded in custody, while the woman was released pending further inquiries.
The investigation is ongoing.
