The Benalla Saints will be holding a reunion for all their past players and supporters on August 26 in their club and function rooms at the Benalla showgrounds.
Though the reunion will welcome all former players, no matter when they played, the event will mark significant milestones for several past premiership-winning sides.
The most remarkable reunion will be that of the 1953 Benalla premiership side, where a few remaining players will be celebrating their achievements from 70 years ago.
Also celebrating an impressive milestone will be the 1963 premiership side, catching up with a number of teammates who fought their way to a grand final win 60 years ago.
Several of these players will also be reminiscing about back-to-back premierships, as they were also part of the team that won in 1962.
The Benalla Past Players Association has put out a call to anyone who knows the whereabouts of 1962 premiership player Robin Duncan. The last association heard that Duncan was living in Darwin and it would like to get in touch with him about the reunion.
While the 1953 and 1963 premierships will be marking huge milestones, that is not to take away from the astonishing milestone that the 2003 A-grade netball side will be commemorating.
The 2003 premiership side will mark 20 years since it won the grand final for the fifth year in a row, a feat that will live long in the history of the club.
The night is set to be an enjoyable one of reminiscing and catching up with old teammates and friends, no matter the milestone.
Former players and supporters who are looking forward to attending the event are required to confirm bookings with Robbie at 0408 318 162 or Robbie.allen@optusnet.com.au
