From January 2 to 4, the club will host its 98th annual tournament.
According to club president David O’Donoghue the tournament will cater for all ages and abilities.
“Singles and doubles, including mixed doubles, will be played over the three days on the club’s magnificent 24 grass courts,” O’Donoghue said.
“Local players can join the 200 players from all over Victoria and interstate playing in the tournament by entering online.
“Bar and catering facilities will be available for the players, their families and spectators on all three days.”
Following the annual tournament, the club will host the 68th annual inter-regional championships from January 5 to 7, with 250 players from all over Victoria competing.
Members of the public are welcome to come down and watch top singles and doubles action.
A highlight of the six days will be the Australian Open Men’s and Ladies Singles trophies being on display on the afternoon of Thursday, January 4 and the morning of Friday, January 5.
Everybody is welcome to come down to the clubhouse and have their photo taken with the trophies.
With the Australian Open, the first of the four grand slams, starting on January 15, the public will have the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets that have double passes to both the ladies and men’s finals on January 27 and 28.
There are only 1000 tickets which can be purchased for $10 each over the six days of tennis action.
The raffle will be drawn at the conclusion of play on Sunday, January 7.
