Set to take on Kyneton District at Epsom-Huntly Recreation Reserve, the Ibises will need to be at their best to take home the trophy.
League champion, Tatura finished the home and away season four points above Kyneton, downing the side 2-1 in round four and playing out a 1-1 draw in round 11.
The teams also met in the league cup final, where District picked up a thrilling 3-2 win, with the Kyneton side also securing up a 3-0 preliminary final result a fortnight ago.
Speaking ahead of Sunday morning’s contest, Tatura coach Damien Rosella said the team was excited.
“We had a tough game against Echuca on the weekend,” Rosella said.
“We conceded late and they levelled the score, so to stay composed and just keep on pushing was just an awesome result for us and now we’ve made the grand final, so we’ll have another crack at Kyneton.”
Rosella said last weekend’s close-fought victory would not play on Tatura’s mind, with the team fully aware it has a job to do against its 2022 title rival.
“We’ve had some tough battles with Kyneton,” he said.
“I think this will be the fifth time we’ve played them and every result has been close, so we’re going to expect a tough game.
“Hopefully we’ll get the win this time around.”
Tatura will have a full list of players to choose from, with Colette Suter, Nicola Minicozzi and Chelsea Salmon among a raft of star players set to don the red and white.
“We’re looking fit, we’re excited and we’re up and about,” Rosella said.
All of the Central Victorian League Two Women’s Super Cup action will begin at 11am on Sunday.
